The Jayco Basestation is the ultimate base for dirt bikers. It’s a hybrid product: half caravan and half mobile garage, and it’s the ultimate base for motorbike enthusiasts of all kinds including those into motocross, supercross, trail bikes, enduro and FMX bikes .
The Basestation was developed as a niche product for the off-road enthusiast - there is no other product of this kind - half caravan, half mobile garage - to enable bikers to cart their bikes and equipment to remote locations with few accommodation options.
The Base Station can sleep up to eight people. Up front is the caravan compartment which sleeps two, with a fold out double bed extending outside the vehicle’s super-structure. By adding an optional converter, the dinette can also provide two additional sleeping berths, while inside the 11 cubic metre garage compartment there are also two fold down single beds with the option of double bunks.
At the rear, a sturdy fold-down back door - comprising the entire back of the vehicle - doubles as a ramp, allowing all kinds of bikes and equipment to be easily stored inside. Two cables allow the ramp to be turned into a deck. There is also a handy built-in mechanic’s rack in the rear compartment. An internal doorway links both compartments.
A toilet and shower are standard features of the vehicle and make the Base Station completely self-sufficient.
While the vehicle is built for normal road conditions, an Outback model is also available for towing over rougher terrain travel.
Under tow, the vehicle looks very similar to Jayco’s top-end Sterling range of caravans with smooth fibreglass walls, sleek automotive finish and contemporary graphics.

RELIABLE POWER
The Setec power converter is Australian-designed and constructed for our sometimes
inconsistent supply of power in remote areas. This built-in fused power converter provides
a safe 12v supply from 240v mains. Produced especially for Jayco, the Setec system
delivers generous lighting on either 240v or 12v supply.
When only 12v power is available, the unit is self-sensing and no switching is required.
A valuable additional feature of the unit is its built-in trickle charger (13.5v output) to cater
for an auxiliary battery.
